What is QiGong

T entle into movement, cultivate mindfulness and inner peace; deepen and promote perception and body awareness. This art of movement and therapy is about 3000 years old and there are countless different styles of QiGong.

QiGong translates as "working on life energy" or "working with the subtle" and is one of the cornerstones of TCM, Traditional Chinese Medicine.

QiGong exercises have an overall regulating effect on the flow of Qi in the human organism and can lower Qi that has risen excessively or raise Qi that has fallen severely.

QiGong and positive thinking

QiGong exercises have an overall regulating effect on the flow of Qi in the human organism and can lower Qi that has risen excessively or raise Qi that has fallen sharply. Compared to acupuncture or phytotherapy, QiGong is the most non-specific method of TCM and at the same time the most effective.

QiGong exercises comprehensively connect the physical, mental and spiritual spheres of human life. Through the exercises we learn to regulate the mind, breathing and body.

Proven form of bodywork

A variety of the exercises cause a gentle stretching and loosening of the tendons, strengthening of the joints, dissolving blockages in the shoulder and neck area and improving the sense of balance. In over 3000 years QiGong has produced a great many exercises in standing, walking, sitting and lying.

A crucial basis of QiGong is the correct alignment of the body mechanics while standing. The moving QiGong exercises are gentle and flowing and are suitable for people of all ages.

Positive thinking

QiGong goes hand in hand with positive thinking and the development of an increasingly healthy attitude towards life. The realization of our inner being in its natural needs and the basic orientation of our thinking play a major role. Qigong exercises are strongly oriented towards nature. For example, we imagine being firmly rooted like a pine tree.
